Addingham’s  Environment

Group Steering Committee

Our steering committee overviews all our activities.  It is made up of village residents and includes the chair of the Civic Society and a representative of the Parish Council.  Reports of our activities are distributed to group and Civic Society members on a monthly basis.

Committee Reports

Janet Hindle

Jan has a land management and community environmental action background.  She co-ordinates our “housing and environment scrutiny” working group and is a Civic Society representative on the Neighbourhood Plan Forum.

Jane Winter

Jane is a Chartered Landscape Architect.  She is our lead on village landscape character assessment in the group.

Stuart Tomlinson

Stuart has a background in primary education.  He is the co-ordinator of our “wildflower project” working group.

Peter Miller

Peter has a background in education and an interest in fungi.  He is the co-ordinator of our “invasive and priority species” working group

Richard Walton

Richard has a background in quantity surveying.  He is the co-ordinator of our “Sustainable Housing” working group

Rick Battarbee

Rick is an environmental scientist with an academic background.  He co-ordinates group activities and takes the lead on our “Freshwaters: becks, ponds and the R. Wharfe” working group.

Gill Battarbee

Gill has a background in education working mainly in the primary sector.  She has an interest in wildlife and she is the group treasurer and event co-ordinator

Margaret Batley

Margaret is a Parish Councillor and our representative on the Parish Council

Jim Robinson

Jim is the Chair of the Addingham Civic Society and our representative on the Civic Society
