The Addingham Environment Group is a sub-
(Reg.
Charity No.1009758). Site designed and managed by Jenny Collins & Don Barrett
Addingham is a West Yorkshire village of about 3,600 residents set within a predominantly agricultural landscape bounded by the River Wharfe to the north and Rombalds Moor to the south.
The Environment Group was set up by the village Civic Society in April 2016. Our
principal aim is to protect and enhance (in some cases restore) the natural environment
of the village and surrounding countryside for the enjoyment and well-

We stress the importance of environmental stewardship as we help our local community
find ways of moving progressively towards a sustainable life-
We also describe the activities of our village group, how we are raising awareness within the village and pursuing our specific objectives of protecting and enhancing biodiversity, promoting sustainable housing, reducing our carbon footprint, adapting to climate change and minimising pollution.
